Either he was a refugee who was likely to be sent back to be tortured under Trump’s chaotic deportation rules, which drove him to commit a desperate act, or he was a sleeper terrorist all along and the Trump admin missed it when they gutted the FBI counterrorism office. Either way, Trump.

It’s pure conjecture on my part. The “we’re being assholes to Afghan refugees” statement predates the shooting. He could have been at the end of his rope because of Trump’s cruelty, or he could have been a terrorist all along and Trump missed it because he’s bad at his job.

Maybe shooter’s family had their asylum claim rejected and he felt desperate, maybe he was told he’s going back to face whatever he ran from, maybe he was a secret terrorist all along and Trump plopped down unsuspecting US troops right in front of him because the FBI gutted their anti terrorism ops.

When I was running I got yelled at by otherwise sweet little old ladies for not constantly begging for money and by “consultants” for not doing the same. It’s so ingrained in the “this is how you run for office” narrative that when you don’t do it people get MAD.
(I didn’t do it. Not once.)
