I’m appreciating the simple joys of happy and content cats, like Adonis and my Remi -

Where in New Brunswick?? I’m on the very west coast, near St Andrews, and look west over the St Croix so I’ve got beautiful sunsets but haven’t seen anything like this at sunrise. Here’s my Wolf moon Friday night, looking east.

my husband and I lost Marvin about a month ago. My husband had him for years, but he'd lived a tough life before he got rescued and then adopted. He enjoyed sleeping in sun puddles and drinking lots of fresh water. I hope you're running free, little Marvin, we miss you!!

I’ve got a western view, and a collection of sunsets from New Brunswick, looking across the St Croix at Maine. This one is from last Monday.

I got the chance to visit the nursery in Nairobi in 2017. I’d fostered many orphans over the years and always wanted to visit but never thought I’d get the chance. It was amazing watching the babies return from being out in Tsavo park at the end of the day and return to their stockades.

As my hair only grew longer than shoulder length once I stopped using color, I have this self-discussion about monthly. I really like its length, because it’s still very thick, but its impact on my environment is a PITA.

It’s crazy! It was this low when we arrived and I just thought “wow it’s dry here” but in 5-6 hours it’ll be this -

Sometimes I look at the photo of the dog I had for 12 years, that’s on my fridge, who passed from old age around this time last year and get so sad. She was such a sweet girl and helped me in so many ways. They really are wonderful creatures and her memory is truly a blessing. I so miss her.

I have a tripod, my Remi is missing her right front leg. She’s amazing, not disabled one bit and is my sweet special kitty!!
