totally understandable, for me it almost feels like a version of hollow knight I can actually ENJOY
(For clarification, I think hollow knight is a master class in game design, the movement is just painfully boring for me personally)

Also this is coming from someone who has been enjoying the game (up to grimmor thus far) and has been enjoying thr harder challenge.
It's super toxic towards new players and feels like you're stuck on a permanent hard mode.
Also it just makes you feel super weak when enemies take 22 hits to kill lol

- but rewards you for playing well. Which is kinda backwards.
It leaves struggling players struggling with no way to recover.
ex. Losing money on death (yes even though you can pick it back up) can be punishing, but it's 10x so when money is SO VALUABLE and hard to get compared to hollow knight.

I find it's punishing for many reasons past the damage.
Progression is REALLY slow, like my gf was VERY far in the game and had gotten a total of 2 up upgrades and one nail upgrade.
On top of that, it feels like the game has a LOT of systems that push you hard if you mess up -
