Estimates are that up to one million Australians are currently living with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) - the equivalent of one child in every classroom.

Yet, many people have not even heard about this hidden disability, which often goes undiagnosed, or misdiagnosed.

That means FASD often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, and its impacts remain under-recognised.

In this blog for the FARE website, @nofasdaustralia.bsky.social CEO Sophie Harrington outlines what the federal government must do to support Australians living with FASD.

A new study, led by researchers from FARE, The University of Queensland and @georgeinstitute.bsky.social, shines a light on how these largely unregulated platforms increase the risk of harm.

But it also shows that Australians back evidence-based, common-sense changes to alcohol laws.
