Already has, and only going to get worse.

I fear that the decline of reading will have disastrous societal consequences.

Staff at the University of Waterloo will be required to be on campus five days per week, starting in January.

They were making billions in the years before WFH, too, so I'm not sure that stands up to scrutiny.

the business returns billions of dollars in profits each year. What do you think?

From speed cameras (one regional councillor says we should pause expansion) to road salt (we use too much), and the latest on Living Retired, we've got plenty to discuss today between 9-1 on 570 NewsRadio. Listen live: kitchener.citynews.ca/audio/

I'm most flummoxed by the unwillingness to admit the real problem. Once kids get to school, they're in classrooms or, for brief periods on a schoolyard (often fenced). So when are these kids at greatest risk? Going to and from school. And who are the drivers in school neighbourhoods at that time?

The roads where the region put cameras are already slow enough. Want some cameras on Homer-Watson? Cool, go for it. That's where high speed, reckless drivers are operating.

The region put cameras on roads where there had never been a collision and collected revenue under the guise of safety. That makes it a revenue tool the region made, not me.

As Premier Ford noted at his news conference last week, Ontario has ranked in the Top 5 jurisdictions for road safety for 25 years. Some of our investments must be working.

I mean, who wouldn't say yes to something they thought was making a school zone safer? I think the answer would have been different, though, if they were asked if the cameras should operate even outside of school times.

WATCH:

Waterloo Region District School Board trustee Cindy Watson attempted to officially pay respect to Charlie Kirk. Trustee Mike Ramsay backed her up. Chair called it "inappropriate" & out of order.

This was at the beginning of Monday night's school board meeting in Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA.

I get that. I wouldn't put up a fight to keep it, but I'm kinda glad that it's there.

Our municipalities have 80% or more of employees working on-site in offices, except the Region, which only has about 60%. But that's changing in December. www.therecord.com/news/waterlo...
