The reason Blinkspace travel is so instantaneous is because you have less space you have to move at the same speed along the wheel (orbital mechanics and basic geometry my beloved), also the term the person used for Blink “depth” toward the center of the Wheel is Fathoms and I love that

I make this post because I was explaining to someone my conception of blinkspace inspired by some lovely person on the pilot net discord where one could imagine the entirety of really as a great Wheel, with Realspace along the outer edge, and Blinkspace as the inner parts of the wheel;
