OK but there is no option for what I really am: a chaos goblin who does BCP, missal and also recently rewrote some EOW prayers because they weren't contemporary enough for my 5pm service

The second style of thurible has four chains. The benefit is that you have more control over airflow because you can hold the top of the thurible slightly open while swinging or hanging it. The downside is that the chains are very easy to tangle and difficult to untangle.

There are two main styles of thurible. The first one has a single chain. The benefit is that you can't get anything tangled up. The downside is that you can't hold the thurible's top in a semi-up position, so its handle gets hot.

What a joy for my whole postulancy class (small due to covid) to finally all have become priests this past Saturday! Congrats to Mother Sarah - a blessing to the church!
