I used my white highlight colors to create some separation. I stippled along the edge of the marks using Trooper White (Two Thin Coats), and then much more selectively using Titanium White (Pro Acryl).

Then I highlighted it by painting thinner and thinner lines, focusing more and more towards the center as my paints got lighter, using in order: Khorne Red, Evil Sunz Scarlet, Wild Rider Red, Fire Dragon Bright, and Flash Gitz Yellow.

Once I was happy with that, I added some Rhinox Hide to the center of the black spots as well as some Aluminum by Vallejo to the very, very center.

For the claw marks:

I started by sketching out the general shape and filling it in with a 1:1 mix of Gal Vorbak Red and a pure black.

For the damage:

l used a sponge to dab on a pure black. Then I went back in with a paintbrush and the Doom Death Black as well as my base color (Carcharodon Grey) to clean it up a bit.
