A year ago today, Quakers around the country sued the Trump admin. to stop ICE raids in houses of worship.

The case remains ongoing, and our call remains the same:

📣Congress must rein in ICE + protect sacred community spaces where everyone deserves to feel safe.

Minnesotans are showing all of us the way right now.

We stand in solidarity with all those around the country facing violence and fear with love and courage. 💙🙌

The horrific violence that ICE + CBP have carried out in our communities isn’t just a policy issue.

It is a grave moral failure that our nation must reckon with.

Pres. Trump’s "Board of Peace" is a deeply flawed, unserious, and harmful initiative.

Real, enduring peace is built in local communities -- not by decree of the powerful.

As @unrwausa.bsky.social warns, these actions "directly contradict" the ICJ's rulings affirming Israel’s obligation "to facilitate—not obstruct—humanitarian assistance and UN operations in the occupied territory."

The U.S. must hold the Israeli gov. accountable.⬇️

A year after the Trump admin. began dismantling USAID, the human costs have been staggering and devastating.

“Many families in my area are afraid to send their kids to school because ICE is staking out our bus stops."

No parent should have to feel afraid when they pick their child up from school. Congress must rein in ICE's inhumane assaults on our communities.

It was so great to come together with friends, partners, and congressional leaders last night to celebrate the repeal of the 2002 Iraq war authorization!

A historic milestone toward ending the era endless wars! ✅👏

🚨The Senate is expected to vote again tomorrow on passage of War Powers Resolution to block further unauthorized strikes on Venezuela.

With Senators facing intense pressure from the Trump admin, it’s crucial they hear loud and clear from their constituents! ⬇️

Members of Congress must call for restraint and pass a War Powers Resolution to block Pres. Trump from launching authorized military strikes. #WarIsNotTheAnswer

Our gov. must also address the role that U.S. sanctions have played in causing suffering & hardship in Iran.

The U.S. can & must take steps to ensure the flow of humanitarian goods like food and life-saving medicine that the Iranian people need & deserve.

Today, Pres. Trump called to dramatically surge our already obscene budget for war.

Meanwhile, the admin. announced that the U.S. is withdrawing from 66 international organizations dedicated to global health, the climate, education, & more.

🚨This is a deeply alarming path.

Let's make sure our members of Congress hear loud and clear that their constituents do not want a costly, unjust war on Venezuela.

Tell Congress: Rein in Trump's lawless abuse of military force!

War is not the answer in Venezuela. In Colombia. In Mexico. In Cuba. In Iran. In Nigeria. In Somalia.

War is not the answer. Period.

The Constitution is clear. Congress has the SOLE power to decide if our country goes to war.

Our lawmakers have a responsibility to uphold the rule of law + stop President Trump from launching a disastrous and unjust war against Venezuela. 👇

FCNL strongly condemns the U.S. government’s illegal attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife.
