I feel very fortunate that I was able to defer my loan from 18 through to 46 when it was forgiven. In the meantime an initial £3000 had ballooned to just under £9000 in the meantime.

Out of curiosity I recently looked at my student loan statement after a few years of disengaging with it (beyond it just coming out of my payslip every month) - because of interest, I now earn MORE than I did the previous year. And I was on the smaller, pre-9K loans!

It's a TAX, just call it a tax.

You’ll be surprised what the Student Loan interest rate really is! How much it really costs, and why you may not pay it…

I now live next to a park which has concerts and other events which can get quite loud so I've invested in a pair of these which do an excellent job of muffling the sound. Not total silence but enough so I can concentrate on reading or what have you: www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d...

I once lived in a flat where the wall was so thin I could hear my neighbour having sex every other night, or at least I could hear the women he was with. I eventually resorted to nailing duvets across the wall which helped to muffle the sound. But it was never this bad. Take care.

In other news, the original DVD release of Ken's Much Ado About Nothing (which looks like it was the VHS master slapped on a disk which is why the colours are off) has slightly more screen area than the most recent BD:

Apparently it's constantly being hit by AI sifters. But it has other problems - it frequently has things "available to watch" which haven't actually been online for over a year.

What I appreciate most is by having the same team work on the whole album with her, it has a cohesion that some other pop albums albums have lacked because its an ambulation of different producing teams. Plus it's short.

Finally listened to Showgirl. It's fine. She's still not quite over the influence of having rerecorded her back catalogue and trying to live up to the past. Only a couple of obv singles. Top three tracks:

The Life of a Showgirl (obvs)
Wood (which is hilarious)
Ruin The Friendship

My head canon is that its the Buffy in one reality dreaming of the Buffy in another reality, the one we're watching in the television show, both part of the multiverse which includes the reboot comic, the s8+ comics and the Audible series all of which are sure to be ignored in the continuation.
