Kids don't necessarily have it around their necks forever. Like I'm sure Johnjoe the aspiring horologist had a bit of attention after, but he's just living a life now. Maybe I'm dead wrong (I know Alicia Wier had a bit of a start on the toy show) but I feel like the unprofessionalism of it is key

Because if the toy show, or to be honest, RTÉ in general, was a star maker, these kids would have far too much riding on the experience to simply be kids. A US toy show would have Tiktok kids and brand deals and it. Wouldn't be real, wouldn't be fun. Part of the beauty of the toy show is that the-

I feel like I probably should say it in person. But yeah, probably a similar statement. It has been really helpful but idk, I want to seek less costly options and this particular therapist doesn't do insurance subsidised care, which I might be entitled to with my job

I feel like it *could* maybe be done in a country of a similar size with a similar kind of national broadcaster, but the UK and US are totally out of the question because the stakes would be far too high for the kids involved. In a way the failures of RTÉ make the toy show work
