Propaganda to sell you the idea that those attributes are what "everyone" wants, especially the young.

Gaslighting to pretend that any movie or TV studio has *ever* depicted accurate life in a feel-good family story aimed at children.

"Hurt people hurt people" is sometimes accurate, but "people who have been raised to see themselves as superior to others, have been given immense power over other people's lives, and have never had to face consequences for their actions, hurt people" is a lot more broadly true.
