That's what I mean! The Simpsons is intended to appeal to a broad audience, kids and families. Dilbert is really just for office workers, and mostly IT ones at that.

I think you might be confusing the duties of a police officer with those of a trauma therapist. In any case, if you DON'T think it's important to get the facts correct when reporting a crime, the only person that helps is the defense counsel.

To be fair, tributes to deceased cartoonists are pretty much always done with their characters rather than the cartoonists themselves, because everybody knows what the characters look like, and the cartoonists themselves just look like...a person drawing at a desk, probably with glasses.

I'm married to a guy from Ohio, and yup. If it's big enough to have a few colleges and some other public employers and some kind of arts scene, there'll be a queer scene that draws LGBTQ people in from all around the state. I honestly didn't think that this mechanism was a secret.

You would think that if they're worried about defamation, it would be a bad idea to mention THE EXACT STREET THIS BAR IS ALLEGEDLY ON, and therefore defame several other bars on that street that absolutely did NOT subject a gay man to homophobic harassment.
