The Aspisviper is predominantly diurnal, but partly also nocturnal and local. She often starts her daily activity early in the morning with a first intense sunbath. It avoids wind and strong sunlight and flees in case of disturbances.

Uroplatus sikorae, der moosige Blattschwanzgecko, hat eine Färbung, die sich zur Tarnung entwickelt hat. Die meisten sind graubraun bis schwarz oder grünlich braun mit verschiedenen Markierungen, die Baumrinde ähneln sollen, bis hin zu den Flechten und dem Moos auf der Rinde.
