Those who are lucky enough not to go through this just don't understand what happens. And yes, a lot never act out, but the mental descent is horrible no matter what physical manifestations there are. I am glad you are ok - I agree it is so so sad. We need better help for caregivers,

That discomfort/fever are signs that your immune system is working - your body recognized a 'foreign' substance and is making antibodies to get rid of it! Are you really this scientifically illiterate that you know nothing about your immune system?

You are really scientifically ignorant aren't you? A reaction means that your immune system is active and working - which is what you want. BTW, some people react the same way with sterile saline injected, it is the immune system saying something came into us and we are ready to fight.
