Oh I was just assuming we'd all have no money because of the bubble popping and tanking everything else

Don't worry, you'll be able to get ram for 10p a gig when the AI bubble pops.

I guess I could see it for "you're an inch away from being discharged and we just want to make sure you haven't been bleeding from the nose" or something

I've been in A&R and seen an opthalmologist get an ENT consult over the phone. It's a very silly idea and doesn't work

The attitude of "I'll stop doing this shit thing when some massive entity stops doing it" is endemic isn't it? John finnemore had a bit where he said he'd start recycling when ALL OF CHINA does

Reasonable. It's mostly an interesting take but it absolutely does verge into XTREME territory at times.

I've been enjoying absolute batman, up until the most recent issue where I went "Oh, that's what you're doing with that character? That's a bit 90s of you"
December 13, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Have you seen the "prosperity gospel" shit that American evangelicals have adopted to justify why it's ok for them to have everything and poor people to have fuck all? It's particularly egregious at Christmas.

I mean there's the collective delusion that AI is the future and will grow forever. Nvidia is some absurd percentage of the Nasdaq 100 right now solely because of it's AI applications, it's a crazy bubble
December 11, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Oh I just looked at it more and Disney get the privelege of investing a billion dollars in OpenAI as part of the deal, so the answer is "Disney thinks they will get money"
December 11, 2025 at 3:32 PM
I assume OpenAI has to pay them SOMETHING and that they get to apply restrictions to what people are allowed to do with their IP? Feels like enough Disney execs have decided AI is the future and they might as well get their piece of it.

"Babe" and "Massage" are almost quaint. Also When did Gen X expand it's borders, 35 year olds are absolutely not Gen Xers.
December 11, 2025 at 3:20 PM
Oh I don't know, it just looks like such a bland prospect I assume the twist is that this additional daughter exists. Perhaps it's a bigger twist and the mum's an alien.

Sorry, not sentence, clause.

As opposed to revealed in the preceeding sentence.

Imagine it, Justin. A mystery surrounding a secret.
December 11, 2025 at 9:06 AM
I googled it and this description sounds interminable:

The series focuses on matriarch Helen, played by Jackie Woodburne, who refuses to sell her seaside hotel amid pressure from her three children. When the daughter she gave up for adoption appears, a mystery surrounds Helen's secret.

A kid tries to work out what his present is by looking getting the help of his dog, takes the dog to a branch of smyths where the dog sniffs out the present.

There's literally nothing in it that you couldn't do with an even vaguely trained dog.

Have you seen the Smyths one? It's such a basic concept that it seems like one of the ad execs could have just filmed it in their own house with their own kids on a phone and got a better result than the slop generator did. I'm baffled anyone's bothering.
