I do not like this habit of conceding goals in injury time.

That was as dominant a half as you could ask for. Pretty much all Arsenal.

Their keeper made some good saves, think the 1st Madueke chance was maybe the best but lacked conviction. Martinelli electric, hopefully it's not a big problem for him.

Everything but the goal at this point.

Quite the half. You could really feel the absence of Saliba AND Gabriel in the Arsenal performance.

Red card 100% deserved, but we also have 4 players on yellow cards and it won't take much for it to become 10 v 10.

Think the manager needs to be smart, lower some of thoseodds from the bench at HT

Chelsea time wasting clearly not being counted.
Four minutes seems exceedingly low for added time...

Don't think you can really say we deserved more than a point today.

Couldn't make the man advantage count. It's good to have the attacking players back, but probably fair to say there's a degree of rustiness to all of them.

2 wins and a draw in a very hard week not a bad return though.

There is that old adage about Arsenal never doing anything the easy way, but the injuries so far this season have been ridiculous.

That's a big blow. We have depth, but he's been one of our most important players so far.

Time for others to step up now.
Arsenal defender Gabriel is set for further tests after sustaining a muscle injury in his right thigh, with concerns that he faces between one and two months out.

Sunderland scored two goals today off an xG of 0.44 and just two shots on target. Some days it's just not going to go your way.

Comfortable enough in the end.

Second goal was really lovely from Trossard and Merino, the third made it safe, so we could make changes.

4 from 4 in the CL so far this season, 0 goals conceded, 12 scored. And with the players we're missing, that shouldn't be taken for granted.

Momentum.

A really impressive half from Arsenal, deservedly ahead it could well be by more.

Gyokeres with his best performance in an Arsenal shirt so far, scored one, and the pass in the build-up to the second goal was 👌

A solid platform to take into the break.

Good second half from Arsenal.

Two lovely open play goals ("should backheels be allowed?!!). MLS assist for Ethan is lovely, but a great flick from Merino in the build-up.

Saka off the bench to score. Youngsters did well. Another clean sheet.

Solid night's work.

Oooof - that was hard work, but exactly the kind of game you have to be able to grind out if you want to win the title.

Maybe a bit of a hangover from midweek, but Eze had the moment of quality to earn three points.

With Man City and Liverpool both losing, this was a really big win.

Excellent goal from Kai Havertz in the second half. Quick and strong, those extra gym sessions paid off.

A much more encouraging performance from Arsenal, Zubimend in particular really stood out – you can see how he's going to influence our play this season.

Can't help but think of the Martinelli and Trossard chances - good saves, but that lack of lethal finishing is a long-standing issue.

I don't think 1-0 is terrible going into the away leg, 2nd half was improved but they were a crossbar away from it being 2-0 and that would likely have been that.
