The main point of that particular ‘Newsround’ link, is that it’s for kids, so it’s usually clear, avoids ‘opinion’ and tries to be positive where it can. It’s just about all one can deal with these days!

White vinegar applied in very thin layers with a cotton bud or paint brush is very effective. Obviously never drip it in any holes or cracks. Wipe off well with water-dampened cloth, and dry with a hairdryer. Repeat for thick deposits. If at all possible remove the part being cleaned first.

Its purpose is to release machine screws avoiding rounding. It has micrometer adjustment for pressure. I worked in manufacturing / tool shop as a kid and might be remembering a tool that one of the engineers made themselves. Or… it it might be a fever dream 😅 2/2 #engineering
