So in place of legal dithering, what's your actual position on who should be paying for the operation of Washington State?

Poor people or rich people?

Dear peasants,

We're cornering the market like Disney before us.

Please don't call your Congressional representatives to complain about media consolidation, and rest assured the poorly lit content paste will flow (courtesy of unpaid humans and AI slop).

Fuck you.

RIP to a great one, Udo Kier, who passed away today at 81.

Whoa, Hogwarts Legacy is on sale for $12 if anyone wants to continue not buying it because JK Rowling is a Nazi.

And I'm speaking my opinion hyperbolically because she's also a litigious little shit who weaponizes her country's stupid legal system to stifle criticism of her transphobia.

Nice to know you're capable of self-doubt.

I didn't think it was possible to simultaneously be enough and also too much.

Don't be this asshole.
Look after yourself. Look after others.
And fight the real enemy.

A "high-velocity air rifle" firing "metal projectiles" is a BB gun, and if this guy plink-plinked even one "projectile" in the cops' direction, then they fucking knew it was a BB gun and they killed him anyway.

Way to go, Bellevue PD.

Medina as a tax-evading enclave is not even the worst offender. The "town" of Hunts Point has a better claim to being semi-rural because nobody fuckin lives there

Ditto Michael Baumgartner (R, WA-05), that piece of shit who reps Spokane and the eastern third of the state.

Looked at his district and thought... Yeah, we're a bit flush with hospitals. We could stand to lose a couple of them.

You know, if I lived in Central Washington, I'd be asking Rep. Dan Newhouse (R, WA-04) why he voted to bankrupt and close 9 hospitals in my district.

I mean, if I lived there, I'd assume it's because he doesn't give a shit if I live or die, but perhaps he has his reasons!

Some absolutely fabulous posters against tyranny by Madison Schubert (@mads-schubert) on Tumblr.

As a #Seattle native, I'm accustomed to movies exaggerating how rainy my city is.

I don't mind. Keeps out a few tourists.

But adding fake thunder to a documentary clip in which it's clearly not raining, during peak cherry blossom bloom, no less - that's a new level of bullshit.

Here's the entire section they sought to mischaracterize.
Read it yourself (source in the alt text).

I read it, I see, "Don't write sex laws that are designed or selectively enforced to eliminate queer people."

In the case of Grok, significant effort has been made to ensure it actively spreads false information.

But as a starting point:
AI can't see itself or explain itself.
You can't ask an AI why it said something.
Or if something is real.
It cannot say, for it does not know.

Holy shit. Listening to Behind the Bastards and just got an interstitial basketball promo from CBS offering that a few ballers would "battle it out like it's the LA Riots".

Good to know that the news media's lies about what's happening in Los Angeles make for such great ancillary content.

Streaming a show from 2005 for which closed captions made by a human definitely exist (I know b/c I just DL'd them)

And the enshittified, autogenerated streaming version definitely has ESL student Martina seeing a man "peddling" his bicycle instead of pedaling it.

How much $ did he want for it?

I suppose there's room for interpretation of these signs if your paycheck depends on pretending you don't understand what they mean.

Children are not puzzle cubes
Puzzle cubes are easier to solve
