I think I'm just addicted to the goad mechanic. Current New Decks I want to build:
- Spider Punk (R)
- The Rani (UBR)
One of my favourite decks is Minsc, Beloved Ranger (WGR) built around Goading Enemies and throwing giant hamsters at tje.m. 😂

Getting in EDH as a modern/standard player was quite the jump and it relied on me opening up my knowledge of the game massively as I had to no longer rely on the rotation window and had to excavate the bowels of Magic History it seemed.
There are too many variables and possibilities to be good.

I have been playing mtg since 98 and I still suck at EDH
Its like driving - there's loads of decisions & interactions by people who have their own interpretation of the rules, some are more vocal about it than others
And thats not even mentioning cards you may have never seen

I think it depends on the table tbh, and the suckage (new deck? New cards you're trying to learn? You've had a few pints and now have the sillies/ spites?) but that's a convo to be had with people.
Now if the convo can't be had...that's another story (thank u to my wonderful pods who put up w/ me)

Interesting, I feel as though these more specific standards for each bracket will be very helpful.
