But it may also be that the slots they book are further away in the USA as they dont have as favourable an agreement with the printers maybe? Or they have access to more of them

My guess is they block book their respective printers (pretty sure carta mundi as they ship from france) for the "set number they expect to sell"

Whereas when they were print to demand they would have to book slots with the printers that would fit around already scheduled products?

I have been playing mtg since 98 and I still suck at EDH

Its like driving - there's loads of decisions & interactions by people who have their own interpretation of the rules, some are more vocal about it than others

And thats not even mentioning cards you may have never seen

I think it depends on the table tbh, and the suckage (new deck? New cards you're trying to learn? You've had a few pints and now have the sillies/ spites?) but that's a convo to be had with people.

Now if the convo can't be had...that's another story (thank u to my wonderful pods who put up w/ me)
