I mean, to be fair see also basically all terminally online culture circles obviously. Being able to distil complex thoughts down to 250 characters and sub 1-minute Reels has eliminated so much analysis.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

I saw this game many, many years ago when @slowbeef.bsky.social played it and it has genuinely been in my head to play ever since. I finally picked it up and beat it this week! It's an absolute banger, a really creative and beautiful shmup.

I saw this game many, many years ago when @slowbeef.bsky.social played it and it has genuinely been in my head to play ever since. I finally picked it up and beat it this week! It's an absolute banger, a really creative and beautiful shmup.

Absolutely this, 100%. Like with Final Fantasy, I think ATLA has been a showing of what I think a "perfect" UB set looks like - great Magic-like theming, a strong limited environment, and cards that evoke the flavour and memories of the source material such that every card feels like a warm memory.
I recently rewatched the entirety of #ATLA. The references are so perfectly calculated. The second I look at a card for more than 2 seconds my mind floods with the memories of the episode. I love this set so god damn much.
