These 7 Democrats just voted to fund DHS (and thus ICE) and thus they need to be primaried. I've been wanting Corrupt Cuellar to be primaried out for a while. Pains me to see Tom Suozzi on this list considering I liked him and he was my representative when I was growing up on Long Island.

Posting on the Pangeo Discourse was a great idea since I finally got some feedback which I just implemented and released WxData 1.2.5 to Anaconda and PYPI. I also updated the WxData documentation and Pangeo Discourse post to account for this change. #python

The combination of precipitation (precipitation is a cleaning process for the atmosphere) and the flow switching to onshore are likely the reason for locally better air quality on the west side of Los Angeles. Air quality is still very poor for me in Riverside. #cawx #airquality

The Extreme Cold Watches out for all of Wisconsin have me wanting to make a 30-Day Average Temperature Departure summary for Green Bay. Quite a rollercoaster with the warmest day (Jan. 13) at 21.3F above normal and coldest day so far (Jan. 19) at 16.2F below normal. #wiwx #cold

Here is an average temperature departure summary for December 2025 at Islip MacArthur Airport (Islip, NY). December 2025 was 2.8F colder than normal. The warmest day was December 19th at 10.2F above normal. The coldest day was December 15th at 13.2F below normal. #nywx #liwx #wxsky

I would absolutely love this ticket! Though I'm hesitant to want Ossoff to leave that senate seat because I don't want it flipping red. If Roy Cooper isn't in the US Senate by then, I'd love for Beshear/Cooper 2028. Otherwise I think the VP should be from a safer Democratic state.

Just ran the entire record for PAFA and while -46F is the coldest high temperature in the past 30 years, it does not make the top 5 coldest highs on record (PAFA records began on 12/1/1929 with only 1 day missing. #akwx #cold #climatology #python

Created a plot showing a 30-year period (1/15/1996 - 1/15/2026) of Maximum Temperatures for Fairbanks, AK (PAFA). The coldest high temperature at PAFA in this 30-year period was actually during this most recent cold snap. -46F on 1/4/2026 was the coldest high during this period. #akwx #cold

While a Daily Average Temperature Departure of 39.2F below normal is cold for Fairbanks, AK. It does not crack the top 5 coldest days when looking at a 30-year period from 1991-2020. The coldest day in this 30-year period was 45.0F below normal on February 4th, 1999. #akwx #cold

Fairbanks, AK is cold but for those who want to know how abnormally cold this period was, here is a graph of the Average Temperature Departures for the period plotted in xmACIS2Py. This period was well below normal with the coldest days more than 35F colder than normal. #akwx #cold
