Can someone please explain to me how Greenland is necessary for the US to counter Russia, but preventing Russia from taking over more and more of Ukraine is not?

Secondarily, if it is necessary for the US to own Greenland to maintain our national security, why not Canada? Why not all of Europe?

Just venting, but it feels like Minnesota would be better off joining Canada. I mean, most of us other states would be too, but at least Minnesota and Canada are neighbors. If he can steal Venezuela and Greenland, seems like international borders don't mean that much anyway.

I don't know how to feel, and I've been in this state since yesterday afternoon. A complete asshole who advocated for others to be assholes and accepted murders as a cost of existing was himself murdered. I believe we are better off without him, but I believe the method may lead to worse outcomes.

I may have figured something out. I thought that when they said they'd "drain the swamp," they meant that they would remove corruption and increase transparency. What if what they really meant was that they'd convert the swamp into Siberian tundra?

Alabama SB79, just signed into law, confuses me. According to it, "there are only two sexes, and every individual is either male or female." It acknowledges that intersex folks exist, but does not state how they are to be classified. So, let's check the new male and female definitions.
