to me, “you should create for yourself” and “you deserve to be acknowledged for what you make” are two statements that should coexist. chasing engagement will rot your soul, while being neglected will see your passion wither. loving what you make is a failsafe for when the engagement never comes.

This is a good reminder to keep supporting artists and creatives as many will or have already jumped to other platforms! And often there is a [big] drop in sales due to that.
