And we know the acolytes out in “Real America” simply don’t show up to the polls when Trump isn’t on the ballot. So how will the post-Trump MAGA Party get their voters to care about anyone but that one single human being they worship?

The larger question is: once Trump is gone, either mortally or politically, what comes next? Since the party’s sole tenet consists of Trump worship, once he’s out of the picture, the MAGA Party collapses and everyone starts fighting for control.

MAGAs will never, ever abandon Trump, because Trump is the entirety of their movement. There is no greater political principle at work. It’s simply the worship of one human being.
