Republicans want closed-door testimony so they can subsequently lie to the Americsn people about what he said without the people being able to watch his testimony for themselves.
House Republicans have escalated their push for Jack Smith to testify, subpoenaing the former special counsel to answer House Judiciary Committee questions about his federal prosecutions of President Trump behind closed doors.
House Judiciary issues subpoena to force Jack Smith to testify in private

Trump really is nonpartisan in that he enthusiastically supports the white-collar crimes and corruption of both parties. The MAGA Party is a big tent in that respect. All grift is welcome! (Just make sure the don gets to wet his beak,)

India’s telecom minister says installation of the government’s phone application is voluntary … which seems at odds with the law requiring it to be preinstalled on all devices and that manufacturers must ensure the application cannot be disabled or restricted.

This is called "cracking" and is intended to dilute concentrations of a single party. Here, Nashville should logically (and used to) be its own district, which of course would be Democratic. Republicans broke it up, ensuring no Democrat could be elected from Nashville.

At the root of this is pure, unadulterated racism. “They” (the non-white people) are stealing from “us” (the white people).

Meanwhile, if you want to talk about fraud, Florida senator Rick Scott was the CEO of a company that paid the largest Medicare fraud fine in history. $1.7 billion is a lot!
Cammack: "Look no further than Minnesota and the disaster there where the Somalian community has been really the root of all of the waste, fraud, and abuse that we've seen in the last several years."

The fact that they’re protecting Hegseth like this lets you know they know what they did is bad and will lead to repercussions.

You’re telling me a podcast host and MMA enthusiast with no prior law enforcement experience doesn’t know how to run the FBI?!
A leaked 115 page report by current & former FBI personnel describes the bureau under Kash Patel as a “rudderless ship” & says he is “in over his head,” lacking the experience & bearing needed to be an effective FBI director—

Why is the president’s son-in-law, who isn’t a government employee and hasn’t been in over four years, part of the group negotiating with Russia over Ukraine?

“Ah, just one more thing, sir. You’re blowing up those boats, saying they’re filled with drugs headed for the US. But then you go and pardon the guy who brought in 400 tons of cocaine. That’s billions of doses. Help me understand that.”

Trump is going to barrel ahead into a unilateral war with Venezuela without getting Congress’s approval, the buy-in of the American people, or even explaining why he’s doing it.

The Founders assumed Congress would jealously guard its powers. They didn’t envision a completely spineless lickspittle pushover toady like MAGA Mike Johnson who would willingly and gleefully lay down and happily surrender Congress’ power to a greedy president—“like a dog,” as Trump might say.
November 30, 2025 at 2:16 AM
The media narrative this weekend is “MAGA is falling apart!”

It is not, and we’ve seen this before. MAGAs will always come home. They may grumble about Trump, but because they’re part of a personality cult, and not a political party, they will—they must—always come back to him.
November 29, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Congress—and ONLY Congress—and not the President, is in charge of Washington DC. The coward Trump lickspittle MAGA Mike Johnson could put a stop to this insanity in an instant.
Trump says he will “fix” the reflecting pool. No sign on a healthcare fix yet though.
