Generally yes, but the one exception is children. I remember several (many) times our van would die because I had the rear-most light on to read at night, and my parent wouldn’t catch it.
I never managed to make the connection of light on -> dead car though.

What, you don’t do that?

I think your cat and I would get along well.

The one from Defcon 22. I‘ll probably start poking at it in December, but it looks like it’ll be a very interesting badge.

Fun fact: some lids can be put on upside down to be basic twist lids instead of people-proof. Really helpful for when you have 20 pill bottles you have to go through weekly.

*Not sure how common it is but it was life changing for me.

Also, pieces that normal people can interact with is much appreciated as well. While I’m still learning, I’m not quite at the level of wizardry the rest of you are at, but being able to do something makes me more motivated to keep learning.

From my very limited knowledge, badges that implement normal stuff in cool ways is one of my favorite things. This year’s And!Xor badge had a transparent screen (still figuring out how that works…) and while the rest of the badge is awesome as well, it’s really cool to see an interesting screen.

So I’ve been a lifelong Timex guy, but the last watch I got has really dropped in quality. Does Casio keep pretty good time and endure abuse well? Getting tempted to make the switch.

Not quite the same, but the black and white reminded me of Ansel Adams’ tree. (His other works may work as well, this is just the one on my wall I enjoy.)
