Hey all, I’m starting my search for internships. If you know of a good company looking for interns, I’d love to know.

I’m a second year in computer engineering, hoping to go into cyber something. I’m adaptable to nearly everything, and I’m open to just about anywhere.

If anyone likes algorithms and would like to either explain or point me to resources of how to do really basic sorts that would be great.

I have spent the last two days trying to implement a largest first sort in C and I am dying.

The real crisis is that there are too few normal ice cream places.

Discovering your mint chip ice cream is actually a coconut-based horror is not something anyone should have to endure.

Fun fact for anyone near the lake: The bodies in Lake Superior are kept mostly preserved from how cold it is, and they sink from the cold. If the temperature of the water rose too much (2 degrees I think), Lake Superior would start returning her collection to the surface.

“How Do You Do, Fellow Kids?" is a reaction image commonly used to respond to users pretending to be part of a community that they are clearly unfamiliar with. The image features the actor Steve Buscemi dressed youthfully and holding a skateboard, and is usually subtitled with the tagline. The image is often photoshopped to adapt to a particular subculture, and the phrase is often used in conversation without the image. It’s edited to include random trans symbols including a trans Texas saying “y’all means all” and a badge that says “fuck the cis stem” and a trans hat with the hammer and sickle symbol.

Would you have suggestions on where to start learning assembly (books/papers/etc)?
I learned some of MIPS and it was really interesting, but it doesn’t translate over very well to real assembly from what I can tell.

Not sure how common it is, but I have heard of hiring managers in security who *specifically* do not hire anyone with military experience.

Hoping that’s not common, but a heads up anyways.

I don’t know which is scarier: that my school is actively using Windows XP for classes, or that all of those computers warn that Windows hasn’t been activated yet.

I didn’t realize how much that was stressing me, but I feel like I can breathe a bit now.

Fair enough. Out of all of that, I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t more damage to the all-gender signs and hall. Our campus is known for it‘s “free speech” (free transphobia) and vandalism along those lines is quite common.

There might not be a fancy place near you with it, but does she like buddha bowls? Those are often gluten free and vegetarian friendly, and at least for my family, popular with everyone.

Someone got skunked, and it went directly into the air system.

There are few things worse than taking a shower while getting skunk air pumped in and not being able to escape. And I can’t tell if the smell is really still there or just permanently burned into my nose.

What do you consider unexpected? (I didn’t hear of this much happening before so it’s all unexpected to me.)

Also, at least here, everyone drinks, and also is weird and cannot function like humans should (to a greater extreme than usual). Also you didn’t come off as aggressive, no worries.

An email sent out today to my dorm. We’ve been in school less than two months.

I am no longer defending gen Z from all the hate they get. They fully deserve it. What the hell is wrong with them??

I take it back I read further. The guy willing shared his info and has no cares about privacy. Between that and discovering freshmen have caused over $3,000$ in vandalism damage 5 weeks into the school year, I‘m not sure the kids are okay anymore…
