Every day I move closer to "wrestling should have no stories," because anyone close to a position where stories are formed is objectively terrible at telling stories.

Antonio Inoki once had a match with Masa Saito on Ganryujima Island. It lasted over two hours; a lot of that was Inoki sitting around. This isn't my area of expertise, but it had something to do with an old samurai battle and Inoki was emulating that samurai's delay in joining battle.

WCW held three episodes of Nitro at Club la Vela, where the ring was put out in the middle of a swimming pool. Guess if wrestlers were dumped in there once an episode. (yes, of course they were)
