Depends on the meaning of "#1" and "when you were 10 years old." I'm going with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It was #1 in national gross box office the week I turned 10. And it just seems fitting with (gesticulates wildly) all of the shit going on.

He's not even asking the right question. "Biggest, expensive hospital chains" is not a synonym for best outcomes or best accessibility or best patient satisfaction or anything else best. Many of the best options in the US are public teaching hospitals and healthcare systems.

Oh wow, our current system is InfoEd based. I will not miss it! We're implementing FCOI and Grants & Agreements on Monday. IRB will migrate some time next year.

Huron. I signed up to be a beta-tester. We're doing our best. But I did this at a previous employer with a different platform. Early days will be rough. At least we're not migrating complex submissions until we get single projects straight. I have a center proposal going out early next year.

Same, but pre-award in Alabama. Plus adoption of a new research admin platform. It goes live on Monday.

Back in the day, the Florida pill mills (no-questions-asked scripts) did T as well as opioids. In fact, some of them started with T and expanded to opioids layer. These clinics were an outgrowth of the seamier side of the wellness industry. But no estrogen involved to my knowledge.

Bhattacharya never had a medical license. He graduated from med school (Stanford, 1997), but he never even attempted residency, licensing, or board certification. He has never practiced medicine a day in his life. He also holds a PhD in economics, and his academic career was in health economics.

Yep. I somehow didn't sprain my ankle. Did end up at the ER after I hit my head when I wobbled and fell. Was walking to the parking lot after work. Fortunately, work was UF. Fell in front of O'Connell Center. So my first concussion inspection (by an athletic trainer) was more or less instant.

Yes, that's exactly what has happened to Columbia. Cornell and Brown have seen some trans-related research restored, but they had to agree to adopt anti-trans policies going forward.

Nope. California receives the highest dollar amount of SNAP benefits, but California is also the largest state by population. If you look at percentage of population on SNAP or SNAP benefits per capita, New Mexico is #1. www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/...
What the data says about food stamps in the U.S.
The food stamp program is one of the larger federal social welfare initiatives, and in its current form has been around for nearly six decades.

Straight from The Great Gatsby: “They were careless people, Tom and Daisy- they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made.”

Yes! I had first cousins I called Aunt and Uncle. My mom was the youngest of 10 children, with 7 surviving to adulthood. I was the youngest of 4. And there were some pretty big age gaps between siblings in some cases. So I had first cousins who were around the same age as my mom.

Not how it works. Oregon will request en banc review - new hearing by all active 9th Circuit judges. Subset of 3 9th Circuit judges that rendered today's decision does not decide if en banc is granted. Full 9th Circuit does. En banc review fairly rare, but 9th is still majority Dem appointees.

Per linked abstract, first-ever study in humans of this novel gene therapy. Still enrolling. Goal is N=30. So primary purpose is to establish safety. More details available at clinicaltrials dot gov link in abstract. Quite a ways to go before we'll see a phase 3 trial enrolling 100s to 1000s.

My dentist is conveniently located next door to a doughnut shop. It's the only one in town that sells my favorite lemon-filled glazed.

I think these are resale prices. A lot of the shows sold out within minutes (original sales prices). That's why I ended up buying Austin tix. Everything closer to me was sold out, and I knew resale prices would be ouchy.
