That's just one way to be good. A good game is subjective. What is objective, is price value vs experience.

When I encounter a significantly difficult game with at least a viable path to success, I can't put it down until I complete the game.

At this point, it's not even the purchase that matters to me anymore. Just visibility and a few people wanting to play it gives me hope.

Within hours of our store page going public, we just passed 100 views and got our first few wishlists.

It doesn't sound like much, but to see even just a few people finding our game organically and wishlisting has literally made our year. Thank you to those few people so far.

The only people that played, were our friends and friends of friends. Barely made 40 views/clicks that weren't our friends. And that was over a month.

Our second game, we bit the bullet, paid Valve the $100. We barely promoted, out of pure embarrassment from our first game.

I did gigs for an IT service during college. 1 job was to help some residents with their printer not working. It just needed to authenticate with their wifi. The company billed them a couple hundred. They were so happy and I felt so bad, spent an extra off record hour optimizing their smart devices.

I just parted ways with tooling on host. Took a while to get it just the way I like it. It's my own personal portable Rails box. I don't think I'll ever go back.

Funny enough, it was for a new contract. And I had dependency baggage. Needed a fresh start without committing to an actual fresh start.

🧐 That's a tiny microwave, and why does it need a keyboard
November 14, 2024 at 1:42 AM
Yes, but only old enough to cause problems and get yelled at. I eventually fixed the problems.

Ah yes, the keyboard that started it all! My arthritis I mean.
