Oh hey. I kinda tried to focus on the anthropology of disability for my anthropology degree as a student and honestly kinda struggled (the degree, syllabus and lecturers had little support for this approach) so I’d love any recommendations you have. I do Disability Studies now haha

As a wheelchair user who is unable to leave the house when there’s snow or ice on the ground: thank you! Not enough people realise this

Consider: a person can have saved up to buy things they really when the sales hit all year but not have much money in their actively able to spend pot if that makes sense.

How just sitting in a chair on a train can be exhausting. To an abled person that’s basically resting, but my brain is dealing w a barrage of new sights, sounds smells and sensations and my bones and muscles gotta stretch

I hate how as soon as that word becomes involved you gotta start mentally evaluating if the thing actually IS inspiring or this is abled fuckery because I don’t wanna remove the credit for a disabled person ACTUALLY doing something difficult and inspiring yknow
