This is a catastrophic decision that locks us into fossil fuels for decades. It's the same broken logic that pushes airport expansion while claiming to care about climate. We need system change, not more drilling and more flights. This is why the #FlightFree movement is so vital.

A UK frequent flyer levy avoids the fuel tankering issue. And the goal isn't to raise zero tax, but to price flights to cover their true environmental cost, which will naturally reduce demand to sustainable levels.

Exactly this. The system is completely backwards. Aviation gets a free pass while cleaner travel is priced out of reach. We must tax flights to reflect their true climate cost and reinvest in making trains affordable for everyone.

We've been sold a lie that cheap flights are good value, when the real cost is passed on in climate impacts and terrible travel conditions.

This isn't an accident – it's decades of political choices that sabotage clean travel and lock us into flying. Fixing this broken system is what our campaign is all about. #FlightFreeFuture
