This matches our own findings. Many people who take multiple flights per year are not actually aware of the impact of their carbon footprint, or of the cascading benefits we could create if many more of us pledge to go #FlightFree2025 !

❌ Abolishing the Climate Change Act would drive up energy costs for everyone in the UK and mean disaster for people and the planet.

We cannot afford to move backwards. Leaders must prioritise supercharging the energy transition.

We've signed the letter calling on Kemi Badenoch to change course ⬇️

📢 This is a threat we won’t accept: abolishing the Climate Change Act (CCA) would harm our natural world, damage a thriving net zero economy, reverse significant progress, and be out of step with public and political opinion.

We’ve written an open letter to Badenoch to express our profound concern.
Climate Outreach are one of many major climate and nature organisations to express our grave and collective concern at Badenoch's threat to scrap the Climate Change Act.

Kemi Badenoch says the Tories would scrap the Climate Change Act.

That’s not leadership — it’s like betting big on whale oil lamps as electricity arrives.
Britain deserves better than climate denial.

Sunset with chilled wine sounds amazing! Nothing beats a train journey where the travel itself is part of the experience. Thanks for showing how flight-free travel can be both speedy and stunning 🙌💚 #FlightFree

Our planet is changing rapidly - quicker even than our science predicted. The question is whether we will be able to change, too, and rise to the challenge of our time.

The 'cost' argument is never fully, ahem, costed. As you say, places like the Colne Valley (in the case of Heathrow) will suffer, reducing the value of that destination. So there might be jobs on offer at the airport, but fewer in other places as a result.

Expanding Gatwick will be a disaster for communities... and wildlife, and the climate. It should not go ahead.
