FlightSim.asia has now launched into early access. The site is now live for users to discover and share freeware content for leading flight simulators. FlightSim.asia is a platform designed to make it easier to find, share, and support high-quality Asia-Pacific flight sim content, and for global creators to connect with the region's rapidly growing audiences. At launch, FlightSim.asia is freeware-only. The platform's initial goal is to be a simple, dedicated space for creators to showcase their work and be easily-discovered by Asia-Pacific flight simmers. In parallel, the team is discussing with creators, developers & publishers to bring payware products to the site, within the next 30-60 days. FlightSim.asia will roll-out localised payment options preferred around Southeast Asia, as well as global payment methods. We will also introduce configurable regional pricing options for vendors, to make purchasing legitimate, high-quality flight sim payware content readily available to flight simmers across Asia-Pacific. Eliminating friction for users and creators, FlightSim.asia supports & reflects the strong and rapid growth of flight simulation in the region. I found a folder full of screenshots from 10+ years ago, of an old VFR flying club. What joy 🥲
A mid-2000s era flight simulator, at sunset over a mountainous forest in Papua New Guinea. The view is from the pilot's seat of a single-engine eroplane, and in very close proximity just ahead to the right is a twin-engine propeller aircraft leading the viewer's aircraft in formation.

In X-Plane 12, we see a backlit close-up of an A330 from the LF quadrant, focusing on the aircraft's nose and flight deck windows. In the sunlit background, there is a low-lying blanket of clouds obscuring the ocean below.

Dodging live storm cells is both very doable and a lot of fun, with the recent XP update ⛈️

Where have you been flying this weekend? I took this A319 across the Bay of Bengal & back, getting back to RGN at sunset amidst thick evening haze. #flightsim
