I've done this in the past with other installers by creating an "X-Plane 11" directory, not actually installing XP, and "installing" stuff into that directory. That method worked with some sceneries that had old XP11-only installers but worked fine on XP12. Depends on installer detection & DRM, ofc

I know it's not a great solution, but is it possible to do a dummy-install on Win/Mac then transfer it over to the actual Linux XP12 installation?

I'm curious to know if there's any compatibility issues with this approach
