Executively dysfunctional, yet occasionally effectful programmer. Crazy trans dyke. Electronic music nerd. Autistic af. Plays lots of games in all the spare time that's no use for anything else.

We're past the point where I expect the photos of him wearing a swastika in the early 80s to do much in England tbh.

But you'd also have to add the part where the maths works out for him.

That doesn't stop showrunners et al trying to infer a Netflix Style if they didn't land a huge budget though!

Yeah, it's really bad news for shows that would find a dedicated audience but the audience needs a while to feel out whether they trust the show - pretty sure that happened to Tuca & Bertie for example, though at least that managed to find another home

Time for the yarrchives though

(Check out the SPLV 2025 group photos: I'm in front in a cohost/ASSC merch t shirt and there's enough resolution to read the slogan if you zoom in

So, er, definitely a good place physically, but also nobody's told me off for it yet)

Good luck!

I've ended up ill yet again, so I still haven't finished the first (research toy) stage of the logic language I've been working on. Next year, I guess?

But I know I'm past being in a place to do a lot of "real programming", and I am in a good place to influence research.

The NHS just did a big independent review that concluded that ADHD is still significantly under diagnosed and under supported.

But that's not the answer he wanted.

So he's ordering a new conclusion.

An independent taskforce *just* did a huge review of ADHD in England, and the conclusion was that it's "under-recognised, under-diagnosed and under-treated."

Legal or just not enforced against?

It's actually on trying again that I find it too purple (I first read it when I was 8), but not going to argue with you about the importance of it! Just had my brain broken in various ways over the decades since.

not a "community" haskeller any more for similar reasons: it definitely had a "that language with all the queers" phase long ago before shit like lambdaconf happened

This is one reason many trans people don't even attempt to acquire a GRC, too

Glad it's on the books at last!

"Teenage" has a definite ambiguity to it that could be a lot creepier

...here's hoping you never work with a Trudy Squid then!

This is where the complaint that the film's steering people away from the actual issues it claims to be about comes in:

Bucky's the focus, but it wasn't his failure at the start of the film. The film isn't actually about power at the scale it claims to be at all: it's about a family feud.

Literally not what he does, though. Especially not "accountable" when the closest thing to a test case is Bucky "literally has his free will taken away" Barnes.

He's against a command and control structure, which isn't surprising given the last one he worked in.
