Nothing says Happy New Year like losing your pet cat of 13 years thinking he snuck out & escaped when we went outside to look at the fireworks. When in actual fact he was hiding under mum’s bed and didn’t make a sound, didn’t even show a paw to put us at ease. Stressful start to 2026. Great.

Ending 2025 as a single Pringle again. Enough about that, here’s 2 things I learned about myself this year.
1. I will never be ready for life’s challenges but I somehow find the strength to deal with them regardless.

A difficult thing about dealing with someone who has Alzheimers & physical disabilities is them cursing you with the worst names possible & screaming while you try to help them shower, them forgetting all about the name calling and screaming, then telling you how good they feel after the shower.

I did not expect the plot twist in this book at all. Very cleverly done. This was a super easy read (having read it in a day myself) its attention-grabbing and everything you want in a thriller. I’m keen to see the movie in a couple of days.
