as a reader, the shorter the publication history of the character the more I expect continuity, especially an emotional continuity where the things the character struggles with and cares about stay the same. if only because a new run that changes those can end up permanently shifting that character.

also there's the weird metagame aspect of it, where all of the tributes go in expecting the Careers to team up. so since we follow tributes from 12, "Career" mostly means from a district that tributes from 12 won't even try to work with, and not whether 4 has the same infrastructure as 1.

in the first book Katniss notes that volunteering in a Career district is complicated because more than one kid per gender tries to volunteer each year, but it's clear Collins doesn't want to figure out how that would actually work.

I think there are two bugs, one that drops the quest that can be fixed using the eras window and another where the wrong cutscene triggers and sends you back to meet Talos on Nar Shadaa when you're supposed to be finishing that quest. Doing Tatooine > Hoth > Elom only caused the second for me.

what order did you do the segments in? doing Elom last trapped me in a loop; I'm trying to figure out if there's a safe option.
