bi erasure isn't a problem that can be solved by simply not caring what others think. it prevents people from accessing safe spaces from abuse and discrimination. it prevents people from receiving asylum. it gets bisexuals abused.

when you are at risk of life-ruining oppression based on your bisexuality but people act as though you're privileged and doubt the statistics you have to back it up. when you're excluded from communities that can provide you help because you're not queer enough.

a lot of people talking about how "insecure" we are and like, yeah that's what happens when neither the queer community nor general society accepts you. when you're not considered an authority over your own experiences.
