Having a fun work situation because a blind user who needs the right control key for screen reader software can no longer get one on new laptops because of the copilot key, and unlike almost every other kb key, that key can’t be remapped because it sends Windows+Shift+F23 so it’s not one button.

This is all sadly familiar to me. I've experienced a lot of the same stuff. But being a few years younger than the author, I missed out on those Pell grants due to the "bipartisan" 1992 reform that replaced them with loans for must of us, which I'm still paying.

I've only ever had one nickname and it didn't hit me until I was in my 40s. Also, it's definitely not serious or used often as you're about to see. A good friend's wife works with a guy named Dave who has one arm. They sometimes call me "two armed Dave" to distinguish us.
