Got another paint session in on the underside coat of these two #ModelAircraft projects. Used a mottle template as well as some panel shading. May have to tone it down a bit, although the P47 is from the Burma TO so it definitely was showing some wear. The B-25 is from an OTU so maybe less.

It has been over a month since I had a model making session (with all the home & work projects cutting into my free time ) but today I got some clean-up done and another underside coat on these two #ModelAircraft projects (P-47; B-25)

This Weekend in The Hangar: At last, another new arrival makes it into the museum. The crew was excited to see it roll in, and have found it a special parking spot beside the CF-104 in similar livery. Metal Heads 🤘https://www.flypastrush.com/post/canadair-conversion-1-48th-hasegawa-f-86f-30-sabre

This Weekend in The Hangar: A look back at another video compilation. Today featuring some of the Korean War Era (USAF, USN & USMC) #ModelAircraft in my collection. (Possibly a good way to assemble your past years builds as well.) Check out the YouTube short to see: www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-X_...

This Weekend in The Hangar: The crew hadn't seen a new arrival in a while but this week it happened. A sleek dual-seat CF-104 Starfighter pulls in to add to the #ModelAircraft collection. Check it out in more detail at: www.flypastrush.com/post/tf-to-c...

Current state of weather conditions just North of Toronto Ontario 🇨🇦 …I didn’t even get a chance to tend to all the fallen leaves yet eh 🥶

This Sunday in The Hangar: In the rafters above the RCAF section, as a few more additional #ModelAircraft arrived since my last visit 😁

Sometimes you head to the paint shop questioning whether you are ready just yet (but really you just need to move forward ) I figured the P-47 was good to go, the Mitchell… hopefully. It was more #ModelAircraft hope than a careful review… Not surprised… some seams still need attention

True enough 23147 is a Mk.5 (my bad) I didn’t proofread that before I hit send - Here is my Mk.6 - Slats down 🤘🏻

While the topcoat dries on the others, I turned my attention to the next production line. A couple of more Canadian crewed examples in this B-25D and P-47D #ModelAircraft coming along

Got the trio of 🇨🇦 #ModelAircraft to the Paint Shop to spray the final sealer coat on. Now some drying time before the next stage.

Working on repairing the F-86 (Sabre Mk.5) broken axle this morning …Hasegawa #ModelAircraft parts are brittle.

Last week’s work was sludging down the the 🇨🇦 trio of #ModelAircraft to get them prepared for the final sealer coat. Missed pre-coat on a couple of areas which resulted in some minor paint damage so that will have ti be fixed. Then bbsat the granddaughter on the weekend so this week I have a cold🤧

Rachel, the 1/48th Revell kit is a big (26" or 66 cm wingspan) impressive build (with a few shape issues, depending on your tolerances). There are actually 2 kit versions, a Canso and a Catalina. One is a true flying boat the other has retractable gear. It's a pretty decent build for its age.

This Weekend in The Hangar: Since I did a fixed-wing video compilation yesterday, time for some Rotor-heads: youtu.be/zryLwaT0n9A

The third in the #ModelAircraft trio now gets some attention with a bit of dual-language decaling (and challenging print-on-demand decals at that - Although I am thankful for the supply of the interesting subject matter.) 🙂

Agreed, probably the prettiest scheme for the 2-seater. Managed to pick up another Starfighter today as it was on SALE (Best of Breed so, how could I pass it up?) …May convert this over to a CF-104 and build another D in the two-tone low-vis scheme 🤘🏻
