Another display deck at The Hangar got a bit of re-arrangement yesterday. The Canadian 🇨🇦 section now has a couple of more early jets added. (The maintenance crew wore themselves out with all that maneuvering in this tight space.) - Cheers 🍻 #ModelAircraft

All the bits are now on the ambulance. I have noticed a paint smear on the other side, which will need fixing. Pithy epithets may have been uttered.

Got another paint session in on the underside coat of these two #ModelAircraft projects. Used a mottle template as well as some panel shading. May have to tone it down a bit, although the P47 is from the Burma TO so it definitely was showing some wear. The B-25 is from an OTU so maybe less.

Needs a bit of a tidy and radio wire, but this 1/48 Eduard Spitfire has been a joy to make. With markings for John ‘Cocky’ Dundas whom I heard about from ‘We Have Ways’ podcast. Over weathered but trying out different techniques. #HistScaleModels Now to prepare for #FestiveTankChallenge2025

It has been over a month since I had a model making session (with all the home & work projects cutting into my free time ) but today I got some clean-up done and another underside coat on these two #ModelAircraft projects (P-47; B-25)

The Halifax Explosion was the largest man-made explosion in human history until the atomic bomb era.
To visualize the immense size of that explosion, we can look at the Beirut Explosion of 2020.

3 large decals left but a lot have been done. Very good ones from Hasegawa, crisp, clear and laid well. I'll get the rest done tomorrow then leave them to dry fully. 👍👍

Next up on the bench, the Tamiya 1/48 Spitfire. Cockpit went together without an issue as expected for a Tamiya kit.

Homecoming - another safe return. A little vignette idea featuring figures from ICM in 1:48 and a Lancaster and Spitfires from Pit-Road in 1:700.

The registration on the upper wing of the Sopwith Scooter worked really well. I used the Vallejo Decal Fix and Decal Sol combination.
Meanwhile the ambulance camouflage on the rear doors in mostly done.

It's ICAS season, which means we are days away from seeing a number of different display teams announce their schedules for the year. Which one are you most looking forward to? Pictured, the RCAF Snowbirds with their inverted wedge bottom side pass in some dynamic lighting.

Revell Corvette is finished, not a bad kit there were some fit issues and my inexperience with BMF let the model down a bit.

This Weekend in The Hangar: At last, another new arrival makes it into the museum. The crew was excited to see it roll in, and have found it a special parking spot beside the CF-104 in similar livery. Metal Heads 🤘https://www.flypastrush.com/post/canadair-conversion-1-48th-hasegawa-f-86f-30-sabre
