Many distros already have Racket 9.0! If not, try ‘Source + built packages’. This has the core in source, with libraries pre-compiled and documentation pre-rendered, which enables a quick install.

Evergreen: Nerds yelling at Mozilla because they did something and not something else. Those are probably the same people who complain about signal using a phone number. 😬

Do European car manufacturers really believe there is a market for combustion engines in 2035?

And do they think they can divide their investments between electric cars and combustion engine cars and still compete successfully with the Chinese electric cars in the market in 2035?

Think small: Win win. Saving 60 kb of #javascript by replacing a convenient yet fat dependency with a transducer also gave me a simpler mental model. 🤓

Convenience killed the #web and competition and indifference killed social media. #Algorithms may play a role but we have agency. We could prefer not to.

Some decades ago I was chased down a road by an elephant bull. What did I learn from this? Elephants are pretty fast when they get angry and never argue with a park ranger after such an incident. They both don't like smart ass tourists who don't know when to stop. 🐘

I tried out subzero to make web components with #Clojurescript. The build with shadow is eye-watering 350kb for a button component. I know my way around in CLJS but it's not unlikely I just made some stupid mistake. Does anyone have some experience using it?

Politics > Protocols. But nerds will probably never learn this lesson.
These principles name the opposite of the oppressive design elements being used against us, but like other cyberlibertarian frameworks, they stop short of the root cause: politics. Liberation depends on shifting political power, because power determines which values take hold.
