what if I released this as Non-Smoking Section II, the sequel to Non-Smoking Section
I have an entire album of mainly DAW-based melodic tracks that I haven't released because I got more excited to do Until instead

🗓️ ON THIS DAY in 2003 • The legendary 555 Recordings released my regrettably-titled 1st album, Life’s A Bit Shifter. Thanks to all who've tuned in along the way. In celebration of the birthday, everything on my Bandcamp discography is now pay-what-you-want. 🙏

have you listened to my 2022 album Ductworks lately? I have because I translated two of the tracks on it into my live set I played recently. the Minneapolis musician Timmy The Tapeworm told me they reminded him of Coil

Weirdly it was The Magnetic Fields that got me into making purposely electronic music, their first two albums and the House Of Tomorrow EP were like a gateway that said "you can build an entire song on one instrumental loop, it's fine"

My main thing keeping me from listening to more king gizzard or vulfpeck is they sound like they're having too much fun. I need my musicians stoic and cold

I know they changed the name from Sock'em Boppers to Socker Boppers but there's a version of the commercial I swear existed but can't find, where they pronounced it more like "Socker Buppers"

At&t and t-mobile both have ads right now that are a folksy man strolling through a rural field talking about how great their coverage is. Luke Wilson and Billy Bob Thornton respectively. Weird choice to both do the same ad

In an episode of my now-defunct music podcast my friend @futuresushi.bsky.social once said of a song, "the producer fucked some ghosts right up into the mix" and that describes most of the music I consume and create these days
