Assassin’s spaghetti for dinner tonight. First time making it. I didn’t have the courage to burn it as much as you’re supposed to.

Aesop’s Gloam EDP is here to answer the age-old question: What would it smell like if you threw potpourri and lightly-sucked cough drops on a sweaty armpit? (I don’t hate it).

Interacting with the definitely very real people in my DMs just to feel something. The scams start quick, it’s really starting to feel just like Twitter here.

Every day is a good day to smell like Memoirs of a Trespasser: scorched, boozy, woody vanilla. Smells like a used book store that’s also a whiskey bar.

I hope nobody ever shows Neil deGrasse Tyson these lyrics

Sotd is Erémia EDP from Aesop. Photorealistic wet sidewalk beside a vacant lot filled with wildflowers. Wild that they released something that smells like this but I’m a fan.

Is this liminal?

The Home Depot has discovered the immense advertising power of a man with beefy, hairy forearms. I’m going there tomorrow to buy something, I don’t have any other choice.

Sotd: Archives 69 from ELDO. The camphor is something my brain didn’t know what to do with (who decided to make sultry Vicks VapoRub?) But stick around for the dry down: pink pepper, tangerine, incense, musk. I’d spray it on my scarf, if I were a librarian with a sexy secret (and maybe a head cold).

Sotd: Hermann A Mes Cotes from ELDO. The geosmin in this gives photorealistic petrichor—smells like literal raindrops on roses, with fruity touches and some pepper. Who made this thing and why? (But it’s good!)

Taking screenshots every time Facebook tries to sell me something related to ball maintenance and hygiene. I thought bathing was enough?

Sotd: Yesterday Haze EDP from Imaginary Authors. Smells like whipped cream on figs, with a dusty, woody warmth. Always a mood booster for me.

Sotd: Prada Luna Rossa Sport. Lavender, vanilla, and tonka bean. Smells warm and cozy.

Sotd: Layton by Parfums de Marly. Notes of apple, lavender, vanilla and creamy sandalwood conspire to make you smell like the most expensive bitch in the office.
July 29, 2023 at 1:32 AM
Sotd: Marrakech Intense EDP from Aesop. Cardamom and clove with a heavy dose of jasmine and a touch of bergamot. On my second bottle. Warm and unique and in hindsight the wrong thing to wear when it’s this hot.

I have never seen anything more erotic than the online DXL clothing catalog.

Sotd: Fat Electrician EDP from Etat Libre d’Orange. An unexpected gourmand. Vetiver note smells like burnt wires for ~10 mins before mellowing out and playing nice with the others: whipped cream, roasted chestnuts, vanilla, myrrh. Fun telling people what it’s called when you get compliments.
July 20, 2023 at 1:54 AM
Sotd: Every Storm a Serenade EDP from Imaginary Authors. Smell like an 18th century seafarer: pungent notes of charred timber and tarry vetiver washed over with oceanic ambergris. Not a department store “blue” fragrance. One of my favorite fragrances ever, but may be polarizing.

Fuck it, we’re skeeting about perfume now. Sotd: Diptyque’s Tam Dao EDT. Beautiful aromatic sandalwood goodness. Smells like incense burning in a temple in the woods. I never don’t want to smell like this.

Picturing a scenario going down in that submersible like the end of ‘The Mist’ where one of them mercy-bludgeons the others and the coast guard taps on the window like 30 seconds later.
