One really positive benefit of trying to practice organizing is the practice itself— it's hard trying to speak to an audience, it's harder to talk to all of them! If you're a writer or an orator in any way...right now is perfect time to write anything and everything. Doing is practice!

furries have an advantage that is difficult to come by— community! think of how unique everyone is.

we have community already, building solidarity is effortless! countless people love the same game, or movie, or song that means the world to you— and that's just what connects you initially!

Bluesky needs to be the opposite of this! If you see anyone sharing anything that seems important, repost it, doesn't matter what it is!
Mastodon was the kind of place where you could post a picture of an emergent situation saying “please help I need to know xyz” and someone would reply like “oh my gosh, :( im so sorry thats happening to you and I don’t know how to help but you really need to put alt text on this image”

this is why I've been so urgent! we need to share connection and solidarity *together*, because it will quite literally make things easier right now!

this is your friendly counselor dog saying: sometimes you just understand that something is wrong. right now you have to go find what feels right!
Very urgent counselor advice here:

stop doomscrolling, and stop doomposting. we all feel the doom right now. it is digital self harm right now, *neurologically*.

it's going to be really hard not to. force yourself to focus on what keeps you grounded, *everything* that keeps you grounded.

You know what? Screw this. Talking and interacting with you all makes me feel happy no matter how down I feel in life.
