Honestly? Probably the latter. If he survives office, he’ll likely be too addled to face any kind of real accountability. His lawyers are also going to restart the appeal / delay / obstruct cycle as soon as they can.

This is such a good opportunity for Dems and progressives who really want to see this turned around. I don’t think farmers are a lost demographic for the left.

They don't do enough to fix things when they are in power. They capitulate and try to work with the Rs way to much. Case on point, why is Trump a free person? Why was he allowed to skate after he caused an insurrection?

The fact that the GOP leadership doesn’t seem too panicked about this kind of polling, or the uptick in Republicans not seeking reelection/resigning, is worrisome.
