Kiddo's History teacher just send an email to parents letting us know she's going to be teaching the kids about Austin's redlining past. She says parents can opt out of their kid learning about it. WTF. Fucking Texas, man. Pretty soon they're going to just erase teaching about slavery.

Kiddo wanted to watch FIREFLY for the first time so we've been watching an episode a night. We just finished the last episode on Wednesday. He wants to wait to watch SERENITY until Thanksgiving, and friends, I'm not sure if I'm ready emotionally to go through it again even after all these years.
